Industrial Maintenance Tech Level II
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES :
ABOUT THE ROLE :
Industrial Maintenance Level II Technicians will demonstrate good skill and aptitude in areas of industrial and mechanical maintenance, and demonstrate some skill on electrical aspects of maintenance to support the manufacturing operation and plant facilities.
This individual can work independently to troubleshoot most mechanical issues and assist with electrical issues at the factory.
A Level II technician is effective at knowing when to escalate more advanced maintenance issues that will require additional support.
Responsibilities include :
Primary Responsibilities :
- Responsible to safely perform preventive maintenance, process and equipment improvements and effective troubleshooting.
- Be a valued member of the maintenance team, interacting well with production personnel to ensure reliability of equipment.
- Learns quickly, and demonstrates a willingness to investigate issues and problem solve to get to the root cause of maintenance problems
- Has a good working knowledge of an extrusion machine (i.e. MAS) and the various aspects of the peripheral equipment. Can run the MAS extrusion line and achieve a good results.
- Will independently investigate mechanical issues, identify solutions, and provide recommendations to management for solving maintenance issues
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and machine components.
- Able to Fabricate components to repair jigs, fixtures and parts (metal, plastic, and wood) for projects, equipment repair, maintenance work orders, and machine modifications.
- Is effective with administrative functions, and able to be responsible for elements of the Preventative Maintenance Program and associated record keeping on machines.
- And, performs other assignments as directed by local supervision
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in production, preferably in heavy manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years hands-on industrial maintenance experience (Examples : Mechanical, Electrical, PLC’s, Hydraulics, Pneumatics or Robotics) while installing, maintaining, and / or troubleshooting equipment.
Competencies and Abilities :
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address production issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using Maintenance software and other relevant tools.
- Demonstrate good skill at using Microsoft products like Excel and Outlook.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present reports, and provide feedback.
Work Environment : This role primarily operates in a production environment.
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Forklift Certified
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Shifts required and compensation :
- Shifts :
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and / or weekend shift which may include overtime, holidays, weekends and shutdowns.
- Available to work any shift for training purposes including overtime, holidays, weekends and shutdowns.
- Pay : $26.00 to $32.00
- Shift Premium : $1.00 (for 2nd or 3rd shift)
