Position Summary :
The Project Manager will be dedicated to supporting, leading, and overseeing the Finance Department’s initiatives and projects across the enterprise.
The responsibility for this position will be to practice and perform basic project management skills to ensure that the Finance Department’s project goals and objectives are met within the established requirements.
Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing project status reports, tracking resource management, conducting / facilitating project meetings, ensuring the project progress on schedule, addressing constraints, and mitigating risks and challenges in a proactive and timely manner.
Advanced project management leadership skills associated with this position will require the ability to work with a range of stakeholders including the finance leadership, staff-level employees, department-level leadership, hospital administration, medical & clinical staff, division leadership and technical users.
It will be the responsibility of the project manager to analyze project requirements, develop implementation strategies and provide guidance and oversight throughout the initiative / project management life cycle, serving as a change agent for the organization and working effectively in a diverse environment in conjunction with the project leaders and executive sponsors.
- Support senior leadership in executing on the UI Health Care values and financial goals.
- Partner with the Finance Department and other internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement finance initiatives and projects.
- Drive leadership awareness, commitment, and accountability for finance initiatives and project outcomes across the organization through defined deliverables and measurable performance metrics.

Position Responsibilities :
- Plans, estimates, organizes, and manages multiple small to medium projects and / or multiple larger-scale projects.
- Holds regular and ad-hoc project reviews and status meetings with project team, sponsors, and clients.
- Employs appropriate techniques for maintaining team enthusiasm, energy, and focus.
- Communicates both within the team, stakeholders, and Senior Project Managers.
- Establishes and assures effective teamwork, communications, and reporting at the project phase level and at the management and stakeholder level for the status of projects.
- Develops continuous improvement and feedback processes to act upon lessons learned to improve the efficiency of the project management methodology.
- Gives continuing feedback, recognizes achievement, and recommends improvement.
- Controls strategic and mission-critical projects involving multiple parties under the supervision of a Lead Project Manager / Sr.

- Indirectly manages projects providing project management best practices to project stakeholders and team members.
- Creates and maintains project lists of issues and potential problems.
- Captures, records, aggregates, and reports project status across a group.
- Cooperates with project team members to produce status report updates.
- Conducts and reports on project budget variance analysis.
- Assist with measuring the project progress, forecasting completion date and final cost, and analyzing project variances across multiple projects.

Education Required
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business or Management, Public Health, Health Administration or a related Health Industry discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
- Project Management experience, typically 1-3 years implementing and managing multiple medium to large-scale programs / projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer service utilizing established PMO Program / Project Management methodology, processes, procedures, tools, and techniques to improve quality measures and metrics.
- Ability to lead process improvement activities to make enhancement recommendations and implement workflow and business process changes.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of management and project team members
- Demonstrated strong project management, organizational and facilitation skills.
- Experience leading teams and people to successfully implement change utilizing a positive, can-do attitude to inspire others.
- Proficient in Project Management tools such as MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Visio and / or MS PowerPoint
- Experience with the concept of the PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge) and applying project management principles, methodology & processes to managing projects.
- Ability to simultaneously lead multiple small to large-scale programs / projects.
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management experience within a health care delivery setting
- Demonstrated ability to engage as individual contributor in successful project management and implementation.
- Preference will be given to candidates with educational and certification credentials combined with project management experience in a health industry.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Master Certificate in Project Management, Public Heath Certification, or Informatics Certificate, Prince2, AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), ITILv3, Lean, Agile and / or Six Sigma certification
- A Master's degree in Business Administration, Business or Management, Public Health, Health Administration or a related Health Industry discipline
