The Department of Electrical Engineering and computer science (EECS) invites candidates to submit application materials for consideration as needs arise for Supplemental Instructors during the spring 2025 semester.

100% - Assist with EECS 101, 140, 168, 202, 210, 212, 220, or 268, 316, 317, 318, 368, and 658. Hold office hours, conduct help sessions, answer student questions, and provide other assistance as needed

Required Qualifications
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must : 1)have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester.
Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.
- Current student in the EECS department or closely related discipline;
- Successful completion with a grade of B or better of the EECS course or equivalent you are assisting with;

Preferred Qualifications
- Successful completion at KU with a grade of A in the EECS course you are assisting with.
- Be a student in the EECS department.
- Completion of EECS 101 at KU with a passing grade.
Additional Candidate Instruction
Candidate's Application packet should contain an online application, one page cover letter explicitly identifying the course number and title and summarizing the candidate's experiences in teaching or tutoring fellow students and a one page resume.
It is acceptable to identify multiple courses, however, candidates can only be selected for a single course

This is a POOL position to hire multiple Supplemental Instructors. Applications are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis throughout the academic year (spring and fall 2024) and positions are filled as needed.
Only one application is needed per academic year.
