Overview :

OPTAVIA’s Junior Digital Designer will design, create and execute production of all marketing projects that service our Field of independent OPTAVIA Coaches around the globe.

This position will assist in the creative development of visual designs while adhering to OPTAVIA Global Brand Standards.

Working to develop assets for a variety of platforms, both print and digital graphics, while remaining flexible under pressure.

Capable of generating a library of assets that not only creates a unique experience for the OPTAVIA brand but builds upon our brand narrative.

Utilizing vector and raster art when needed. An emphasis on delivering a strong creative vision, continuous quality while maintaining focus and organization.

The OPTAVIA Marketing Creative Service Team is a fast paced, agile environment that offers support to all cross functional OPTAVIA Teams both locally and internationally.

Job Responsibilities :

Approaches projects and assignments with creativity, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Extreme willingness to go above and beyond for the Coach and Client experience.

Creates branded content daily through a variety of software for OPTAVIA’s Events, Recognition, Communication, Training, Social Media, Video, Operational and various cross functional marketing channels.

Collaborates with cross functional teams to develop designs and execute accurate needs for effective email campaigns, product launches, social and training visuals.

Experience in Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote like is highly recommended.

Designs and produces graphic content for communication platforms across OPTAVIA marketing initiatives and website content.

Generates brand approved graphic banners and / or other forms of digital media as necessary.

  • Assist with maintenance of and , while working closely with corporate partners for publish of content. Provide assistance with information architecture, wireframe, and design prototype to provides design direction and documentation for third party vendors.
  • Partner with other creative team members to review, edit, package and preflight files as needed. Includes : image retouching, clipping paths, color manipulation, spell check, proper PDF generation for both vendor and digital upload to our central document server library and Smartsheet.
  • Meets and exceeds timelines established by creative leadership for all graphic projects while maintaining constant communication for current status of all design tasks or projects, in an environment with continuously evolving priorities.
  • Produces visually creative solutions through brainstorming, trends, research, and knowledge of OPTAVIA’s mission. Allowing for creative suggestions and solutions when limited scope is provided.
  • Establishes good chemistry, productive, and respectful team relationships with teams and managers to ensure creative solutions to business challenges are uniquely compelling and OPTAVIA Coach and Client centric.
  • Attends and shares learning from ongoing education workshops (in person and / or webinar based) to stay current with design trends, software, and techniques.
  • Produce creative artwork in a fast-paced, high volume production environment.
  • Edit creative assets to ensure key stakeholders are satisfied and proper compliance is maintained.
  • Tasks will include, but are not limited to; designing print and digital collateral, promotional material, page layout, etc.
  • Review and edit consistently for maintenance of materials with shifting standards

Scope :

OPTAVIA’s Junior Digital Designer is an independent contributor with creative vision, responsible for the day-to-day tasks that include : graphic assets for emails, presentations, static / motion graphics, digital campaigns as well as print materials on an as needed basis.

This team member will work in tandem with other Creative Services Team members, and other team leads to complete incoming creative design requests from cross functional departments that may include Marketing, Brand, and Communication Team, Field Alignment & Activation Programs, Events and Recognition, Digital Products, IT, Human Resources, Public Relations as well as Training and Support Teams.

The Junior Digital Designer will be responsible for working on multiple projects simultaneously, which supports Medifast and OPTAVIA Divisions.

Patience and organization is critical. Willingness to think outside the box, and ask questions is encouraged.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, related field, or equivalent job experience.
  • to years working experience in graphic design, web design or related field.

Professional knowledge of graphic and web design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier, Etc.

and other digital and web related software.

  • Comfortable using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap experience preferred. JQuery and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Working knowledge with email marketing, and social media best practices and various platforms. (Exact Target, Salesforce or other top-tier email platforms) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, while being a process-oriented self-starter.
  • Experience working within various content management systems, are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of current website design trends and techniques.
  • Organized, detail oriented, dependable with a great attitude.
  • Photography experience a plus.
  • Able to design, read or write in : Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work additional evening and weekend hours as scheduled, leading up to and during major company events and campaigns.
  • Willingness to travel as needed. (About % of time)
  • Availability to work day, night and weekend occasionally.
