Controls Engineer Lead

Genesis10 is seeking a Controls Engineer Lead for a five-month contract position in Huntsville, AL. This position will work onsite.

This position is a possible temp to hire for the right candidate, depending on budgets.

Hours : 7 : 30 pm- 6 : 00 am from Monday-Thursday - 10-hour work days (Occasional OT may be required)

The candidate will start training on the first shift and then move to evenings. They will work 2-4 weeks on the first shift and then move to the second shift.

PPE : Safety Shoes / Safety Glasses required

Summary :

The Lead Controls Engineer will establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and addressing equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.

They will also provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost-effective for the manufacture of company products.
• Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
• Studies equipment performance and reliability.
• Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
• Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
• Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

Required Skills :

• Siemens PLC controls experience is required
• Cognos, Keyence experience.
• Combination of automation, IT, and Fanix robots is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of product manufacturing experience OR At leasst 7 years of product manufacturing experience.

Desired Skills :

• Must be able to work independently with little guidance.
• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience, with a full understanding of the area of specialization.
• Fully proficient in applying established standards, resolving a wide range of complex problems of diverse scope in innovative ways, including problems where precedent may not exist.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Compensation : $38.00 per hour.
