About The Position

ID : 50601847 Shift : Midnights 1030p-0700a; Would need to provide radiology services too. Description : Job Title : CT Technologist - Registered Job No : 16020 Department : Radiology Services CT Scan Salary Grade : 9 Reports to : Senior Director of Ancillary Services FLSA : Non-Exempt Job Summary : CT Technologists work under the direction of the Radiologist to perform a variety of routine and complex CT scanning examinations for the purpose of diagnosing abnormalities, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and continuity of patient care.

Functions and Duties : Independently performs computerized tomography exams of the head, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, chest and spine.

Receives and evaluates physician orders with patient history and information. Safely administers oral and IV contrast, utilizing power injectors.

Works with Radiologist for pertinent information. Coordinates with vendors for service and notifies manager with any equipment issues.

Performs all Computerized Tomography quality assurance testing and logs into computer. Coordinates patient information with picture archive communication system and electronic medical record TK2 to save data and radiation dose.

Performs duties as a Radiologic Technologist as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications : Education Graduate of an AMA approved radiology program required.

Experience One year of CT experience preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Basic life support certification required.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (R) and Computed tomography (CT) required. Illinois Emergency Management Agency certification to perform Radiology required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy.

Ability to start IVs Ability to maintain radiation safety. Physical Demands : Sitting Job requires sitting for extended periods of time.

Walking Job requires employee to walk considerable distances, to and from work area. Lifting Job requires employee to raise or lower up to 25 lbs.
