Responsibilities :
- Architect IT solutions to accommodate complex business needs and design architecture to integrate various technologies including network, compute, storage, platform, cloud, database, software, systems, security, mail and others.
- Work with development teams, technical leads, and business analysts to determine technical direction and approach to system design and implementation using recognized and emerging architectural standards and industry best practices.
- Support the strategic planning, assessment, and execution of migrating agency systems to public and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring optimal integration, scalability, and security.
- Help improve the architecture by tracking emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
- Provide support at all layers of enterprise architecture (i.e., performance, business, data, application, service, and technology) and identify issues and recommendations to address them.
- Provide support for planning, analyzing, and the development and implementation of a cohesive strategy and infrastructure for a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Support the planning, acquisition, and management of the agency Infrastructure / Cloud Architecture.
- Analyze, develop, maintain, communicate, implement, and evaluate EA policies, procedures, standards, guidance, tools, or other documents.
- Develop and maintain architecture guidance, EA software tools, and training to support agency transformation initiatives.
- Support segmenting large federal projects into smaller, manageable parts, using alternative analyses and better oversight throughout project planning and management processes.
- Perform alternative analyses in support of enterprise architecture recommendations developed as part of the segment architecture process.
- Link and harmonize the architecture strategic planning, budget, investment review, and human capital planning processes and ensure alignment between enterprise architecture with Federal reference models and Federal architecture models.
- Perform EA reviews of IT systems at key points in the IT solution lifecycle and the CPIC process.
- Provide meeting support to the EA governance boards or other groups for EA presentations to the committees and sub-committees and for EA program attendance at conferences or with conference materials.
- Support development and maintenance of the target data architecture, enterprise data architecture, data reference model (DRM), and data policy.
- Develop, update, and maintain agency-specific reference models and related documentation, including the PRM, BRM, DRM, TRM, and SRM.
- Support the agency in producing OMB- or General Accounting Office (GAO)-required EA reports such as the quarterly reports and self-assessments.
- Work directly with the federal client and its stakeholders to ensure success.
Qualifications - Required :
- Master's degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- 15+ years of IT experience
- 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Segment Architecture and its components
- Must be able to support numerous large projects at one time
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to maintain the required Public Trust Clearance for this role
Qualifications - Highly Desired :
- Strong knowledge of Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework
- Hands-on software development experience
- AWS or Azure cloud certification
Compensation :
- $146,000-167,000 / year depending on capability and experience
- Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health insurance, and flexible leave
