As a rapidly growing company, 27North is expanding into a new expedition truck line, and we are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Production Manager to lead this exciting new venture.

Position Overview

The Production Manager for the Expedition Truck Line will be responsible for developing, setting up, and launching the production line within 90 days.

This is a critical role in ensuring the success of the truck line, as you'll oversee the entire process from planning to execution.

You will work closely with other departments such as engineering, procurement, and sales to ensure that the production line is set up efficiently, meets quality standards, and is scalable for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Line Setup : Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to set up the expedition truck production line within 90 days.
• Team Building : Recruit, train, and manage the production team, ensuring they are fully equipped to meet production goals.
• Process Development : Create and standardize production processes, workflows, and procedures to maximize efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.
• Resource Management : Ensure that all necessary resources (materials, tools, equipment, etc.) are procured, organized, and ready for the production line.
• Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, procurement, and sales teams to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
• Quality Control : Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the production process to ensure vehicles meet 27North’s high standards.
• Scheduling : Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring that vehicles are completed on time and within budget.
• Safety and Compliance : Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the production line complies with relevant regulations.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify areas for improvement within the production process and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Leadership : Lead by example, setting the tone for a high-performance, results-driven production team.

Qualifications

Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years in production management, preferably in the automotive or vehicle manufacturing industry.
• Experience setting up a new production line from scratch is highly preferred.

Skills :

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent project management abilities.
• Ability to develop and optimize production processes.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge :

• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with automotive assembly or custom vehicle production is a plus.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

Key Milestones

• 90-Day Deadline : The Expedition Truck production line must be fully operational within 90 days of hire, meeting all initial production targets.
• Team Setup : Assemble a high-performing production team within the first 30 days.
• Process Implementation : Develop all production processes and ensure all equipment is functional by day 60.
• First Run : Ensure the first trucks roll off the line, meeting quality and safety standards by the end of the 90-day window.
