As an RF Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities involve contributing to the RF Design of the regional wireless network.
You'll create site design RFDS (Radio Frequency Design Specifications) and complete plumbing diagrams. Additionally, you'll perform radio engineering evaluations for system planning and site acquisition, evaluate coverage problems, and determine requirements for both coverage and capacity cells.
Utilizing propagation tools like MapInfo, Google Earth, and ATOLL, you'll compare site candidates, analyze propagation, review coverage, and handle zoning and regulatory matters.
Your role also includes reviewing cell sites for upgrades, defining search areas, collaborating with the performance team to improve KPIs, preparing zoning justification packages, and ensuring compliance with RFE mitigation standards.
You'll specify antennas, cables, and equipment for macro and small cell wireless network clusters, automate processes, and share information with your teams.
