Company Overview : Core Talent Services is proud to support our client in their search for a Director of Supply Chain & Procurement to support their ongoing manufacturing and distribution operations.

This position will report directly to the VP of Operations of the company. This Senior Procurement Executive plays a critical role in managing the procurement process for the manufacturing division.

This position is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices, while fostering strong supplier relationships and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Procurement Planning :

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Supplier Management :

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance assessments, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.

Negotiation and Contract Management :

• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

• Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements and production schedules.
• Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and forecasts related to procurement activities.

Inventory Management :

• Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory costs.
• Implement inventory control measures to support manufacturing operations and minimize production disruptions.

Data Analysis and Reporting :

• Analyze procurement data to identify trends, track savings, and report on procurement performance.
• Utilize procurement software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Team Leadership :

• Mentor and lead junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Promote best practices in procurement processes across the organization.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
