Position Summary :
The Procurement Specialist 1 is responsible for placing purchase orders, schedule deliveries, and resolves vendor and order issues, in accordance with set procedures and budget / schedule requirements.
These products and services are for Class I and II medical devices hence quality and productivity standards are critical.
This is a hybrid role located at HQ in Kennewick, WA. Key Duties / Responsibilities :
- Prepare purchase orders / bid requests, and send purchase orders to vendors, adhering to purchasing policies, processes and procedures
- Monitor status of orders, and contact vendor as needed regarding delivery, and discrepancies such as with quantity and quality of items
- Complete data entry of purchase orders with high level of accuracy and proficiency
- Perform data analytics
- Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery, based on specific quality, budget and schedule requirements
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Education / Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; or at least 4 years’ related experience
- 2+ years of related experience required
- CPM (Certified Procurement Management) or similar certification preferred; certification accepted in lieu of 1 year of required experience

- Strong business math skills; read and interpret data and reports
- Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
- Competency in computer skills : MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems and applications
- Critical success criteria include attention to detail, organized approach to work, effective time management and follow-through
- Must develop knowledge of Cadwell products and components
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions :
General office positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision and 2-way written / verbal communication.

- Work assigned shifts to cover department hours of 6 : 30am-5 : 00pm.
