The SIOP Analyst will have overall responsibility for forecast adherence, accuracy, and optimization activities. Using an analytical approach, this position will develop, manage, and optimize processes around SIOP functions and will work primarily with the Supply Chain and Commercial teams to establish equilibrium between product supply and demand across multiple product lines and warehouses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead monthly forecasting efforts between Supply Chain, Sales, and Principal Development teams.
- Receive, analyze, and enter all customer submitted forecasts into demand planning software.
- Prepare monthly SIOP data files and support monthly meetings with cross functional teams.
- Compare statistical forecast data with projected sales trends to highlight and correct imbalances in inventory positions.
- Meet regularly with Inventory Managers to drive inventory optimization.
- Manage data integrity related to system generated forecasts and customer submitted forecasts.
- Participate in forecast improvement initiatives with Principal representatives.
- Assist in managing inventories in impaired or expired status with emphasis in creating channels for movement.
- Monitor department KPIs related to days inventory and impaired / expired goods to drive metric results and meet operating objectives.
- Lead recertification efforts for product that is expired or near expiration.
- Cross train to provide back-up support to Inventory Managers and Supply Chain Assistants.

Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain Management or another related field preferred.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certificate preferred.
- Previous chemical Industry Knowledge helpful.
- 5 years’ experience in inventory management or procurement.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Excel using pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions, macros.
- Ability to build and maintain custom reports. PowerBI, SQL, Python and other analytical / coding skills are recommended.
