Job Summary :

This job's key responsibilities include :
Equipment Setup : Responsible for setting up manufacturing equipment according to production schedules and specifications.
This may involve assembling, calibrating, and configuring machinery and tools to ensure proper operation.
Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
This includes conducting inspections, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or operational issues. Diagnose problems, determine root causes, and implement appropriate solutions to minimize disruptions to production.
- Quality Control : Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that equipment meets quality standards and specifications.
Perform checks and adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment. Ensure that safety procedures are always followed to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of equipment setup, maintenance activities, and repairs performed. Keep detailed logs of equipment performance, downtime, and any issues encountered.
- Training and Support : Provide training and support to operators and other personnel on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Share knowledge and expertise to enhance team capabilities and ensure efficient operation.
Continuous Improvement : Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment efficiency, productivity, and reliability.
Make recommendations for upgrades or modifications to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team, including engineers, operators, and supervisors, to coordinate production activities and achieve production targets.

- Previous work experience in manufacturing, automotive, or related industries.
- Equipment Operation Experience : Familiarity with the operation of manufacturing equipment and tools relevant to the specific industry is often preferred.
- Mechanical Aptitude : Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills are essential for this role. Candidates should have a good understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Problem-Solving Skills : The ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions is crucial for success in this role.
- Attention to Detail : Technicians must pay close attention to detail to ensure that equipment is set up correctly and maintained according to specifications.
- Safety Awareness : A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential. Technicians must be aware of safety protocols and regulations and follow them rigorously to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Ability to Work in a Team : Technicians often work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. The ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and contribute to a positive work culture is valuable.
- Continuous Improvement Experience : Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing can be an asset.

Working Conditions :
Manufacturing Environment : Technicians typically work in a manufacturing facility where automotive parts are produced.
This environment may involve exposure to noise, heat, dust, and other potential hazards associated with industrial settings.
- Shift Work : Automotive parts manufacturing companies often operate on multiple shifts to maximize production output. As a result, technicians may be required to work evening, night, or weekend shifts to support continuous manufacturing operations.
- Physical Demands : The job may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Technicians may need to maneuver heavy equipment or parts during setup, maintenance, or repair activities.
- Manual Dexterity : Precision is often required when handling tools and adjusting machinery. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are important.
- Tolerance to Temperature and Noise : Automotive manufacturing environments can be noisy, and temperature conditions may vary.

Environmental, Health and Safety Expectations :
Employee Responsibilities :
- Work in compliance with ABC Standards, EHS Policies, Local, Regional and Federal acts, bylaws, and regulations.
- Report any spills or leaks immediately.
- Use personal protective equipment and clothing as required.
- All Employees shall follow Site Workplace Safety Guidelines.
- No Employee shall remove or make ineffective any protective device and must report missing or damaged protective devices.
- No Employee shall use or operate any equipment, machine, or device in a manner that may endanger themself or another worker, including the operation of equipment, machine, or device without proper training or certifications where required.
- No Employee shall engage in horseplay or unsafe acts.
- Employees must immediately report any hazard(s), unsafe act / condition, near miss or incident regardless of severity to their Group Leader.
- All Employees must maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace in compliance with the substance abuse policy.
Security and Housekeeping :
- Ensure visitors and contractors follow the Contractor Management Policies / Site-specific Procedures.
- All Employees must use the designated employee entrance and exit doors. Under no circumstances can employees prop or cause to remain open any entrance or exit door that could permit entry to the facility for unauthorized individuals.
- All employees shall ensure the building is always clean and a safe workplace.
- No food or drink is permitted in the warehouse or production area, unless in a spill proof container. All other food and drink items must remain in the designated break areas.
