Summary :
Under the direction of the Dealership Manager, the incumbent is responsible for diagnosing structural and functional aspects of liquid bulk tanks, chassis, and fluid delivery systems.
The incumbent will repair and replace necessary parts and install additional components to existing equipment as indicated by their diagnosis.
Supervisory Responsibility :
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions :
Read job orders to determine work to be performed
Replace and repair malfunctioning parts
Install additional parts to existing units to enhance functioning and efficiency
Perform DOT tests
Diagnose structural and operational problems with liquid bulk tanks, chassis, and fluid delivery systems
Installing tank bodies on heavy duty trucks
Final inspection
All other duties as assigned

Working knowledge of truck bodies
Skill to properly operate all tools used in the performance of essential job functions

Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience building or repairing diesel, gas, or hydraulic equipment utilizing hand, electric, and pneumatic tools
Prefer multiple years of experience installing truck bodies but not required
Physical Demands :
Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and / or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
Must be able to perform the following physical activities : Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
