Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is currently seeking a Sr. Counsel, Regulatory and Compliance . This role serves as the main point of contact for regulatory compliance, trade practices and data privacy compliance.

This position will report to the General Counsel, will oversee two direct reports, and is a hybrid opportunity (3 days per week in in Stamford, CT office) Responsibilities are outlined below.

These responsibilities are representative of the key areas of focus but are not limited to the items listed below.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, trade practices and data privacy compliance.
• Responsible for monitoring the regulatory landscape and overseeing all aspects of compliance training programs for employees.
• Responsible for overseeing the legal review of advertising, marketing and promotions.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required.
• Active license to practice law and ability to qualify as in-house counsel in Connecticut.
• 8+ years regulatory compliance experience in alcohol beverage company preferred.
• This role requires a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• This role requires a deep knowledge of alcohol beverage laws, rules and regulations, including in the areas of trade practice compliance, regulatory compliance, and consumer and marketing laws and regulations.

Experience in data privacy preferred but not required.

• This role requires strong organizational skills; attention to detail; strong analytical skills; ability to apply business judgment;
• excellent communication skills including the ability to explain legal concepts in a clear and concise manner; ability to work independently and take initiative;

and strong presentation and training skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines / priorities.
