Key Responsibilities :
This is an entry-level role where the Pipefitter Trainee will assist the Foreman and Journeymen in the layout, assembly, and installation of accessories and equipment.
Sorting out material, assembling and sealing ductwork on the floor.
Assist installation crews as a ground man which would entail cranking the winch on the duct lift.
Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced trade workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Clean the work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of journeyman’s tools and equipment when necessary.
Perform other routine duties as directed by an experienced tradesperson.
Qualifications
Technical Trade School completion or undergoing Apprentice Program preferred.
GED or High School graduate required.
Must have a Valid driver's License.
Must be able to follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties that may often change.
Must be able to evaluate information using measurable standards.
Must be able to work within standards.
Must be willing to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
Ability to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar
Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs / ladders, reach overhead, and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds.
