The Senior Project Manager / Estimator is a professional who leads a team through the project life cycle by planning, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking the Heavy Civil construction projects from conception to completion.
Sr PM interfaces with field supervision, company management and project representatives. Communication is Key - The position requires communication with all levels of management and non-management personnel in a professional and responsive manner.
Job Requirements / Required Education :
- Experience must exhibit progressively increasing project management and business acumen.
- The Sr PM must possess proven strong leadership skills to guide, stimulate and inspire the entire Project Management Team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or business or related field of study with 5 years minimum of experience.
Essential Job Accountabilities :
- Lead estimating efforts on projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build process.
- Coordinate efforts with estimators, owners, and supervisors of construction to manage resources to meet project schedule.
- Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure accuracy of bid and evaluate project feasibility work with the estimating team to develop bid schedule.
- Provide an environment where dynamic project communication occurs between Project Engineers, Foremen, Superintendents and Construction Manager to ensure work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable and safe manner.
- Ensure proper job controls, i.e. quantities, cost, revenue and schedule.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractor’s corporate management, inspectors, etc.
providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base.
- Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance.
- Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
