The Field Controls Engineer role is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems.
The successful candidate will be expected to analyze customer requirements, design and program the appropriate control system, and provide support during commissioning.
This is a hands-on role and requires travel to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze customer requirements and develop control systems design.
- Design and program control systems, including hardware and software.
- Develop Bill of Materials (BOMs) for project requirements.
- Configure and program Human to Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
- Develop and debug software programs.
- Install, troubleshoot, and commission systems.
- Integrate and program servo motors, vision systems, robots, leak test systems, LVDTs, and data collection systems.
- Install and troubleshoot industrial network communications.
- Install wiring and plumbing on equipment.
Qualifications :
- Prior experience in the design and development of control systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, control, and mechanical schematics.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, control system software design, and debugging and commissioning.
- Experience with software programming.
- Knowledge of servo motors, vision, robots, leak test systems, LVDTs, data collection systems, industrial network communications, wiring, and plumbing.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to travel.
