Our Client, a Public utilities company, is looking for an Utility Interconnection Project Manager for their Oakbrook Terrace, IL / Hybrid location.
Responsibilities : Developing and implementing project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Leading and managing project teams, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and support.Monitoring project budgets and expenses and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
Communicating with stakeholders and senior management to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.
Managing project risks and issues and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and external partners.Leading project meetings and facilitating discussions to drive project progress.
Managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.Supporting the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes.
Senior Project Managers should have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should also be proficient in project management software and tools.
PMP Required for all Project Management rolesDistributed Energy Resources (DER) Interconnection Project Managers (PM) are responsible for all aspects of their projects and coordinating with client customers to interconnect new customer-owned DERs.
PMs execute schedules in accordance with established Interconnection Agreements (IA).PMs own procurement, resource coordination, design, electrical system outage coordination, construction, interconnection and commissioning, financial reporting and tracking in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley principals, and all stakeholder communications required to successfully interconnect customers.
Requirements : Experience managing medium voltage (12kV 69KV) utility projectsProficient in reading electrical printsUnderstanding of Sarbanes Oxley accounting principalsReal Estate easement, zoning, and permitting experienceProficient with Microsoft Office 365Financial & forecasting acumen, experience managing medium voltage (12kV - 69KV) utility projects, contract management experienceAbility to manage a portfolio of >
25 projects in all stages of initiation, scope definition, design, construction, and closeout. Interconnection PMs need to manage competing priorities of client resource constraints and Customer schedule and cost limitations, and be able to clearly communicate with all stakeholders.
Years of experience : 5-10 yearsBachelor of Science in Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Construction Engineering.
