The Role :
As the Project Development Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind the successful execution of wind and solar projects. You’ll be responsible for :
- Identifying prime project opportunities with high-potential wind / solar resources.
- Managing stakeholder relationships, including elected officials, utilities, and regulators.
- Securing land surface rights and navigating permitting processes at all levels.
- Leading negotiations for interconnection agreements and overseeing proposal submissions.
- Collaborating with internal teams to keep projects on time, within budget, and compliant with all regulations.
The Person :
The successful candidate will likely have :
- 5+ years of professional experience leading utility-scale wind or solar energy projects.
- Strong ability to secure land rights, permits, and build stakeholder relationships.
- Expertise in overseeing project development from greenfield to mid-stage.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills to support project feasibility (preferred but not required).
- Strong communicator who can lead cross-functional teams with clarity and purpose.
