Calming Co is hiring an inventive and data driven Creative Strategist to join our team and help create high-performing ads for our Calming Tonic DTC Brand.
As a creative strategist, you will work closely with our marketing and production teams to help ideate, build, and iterate on creatives to keep improving performance on our paid media campaigns.

Job Overview
As the Creative Strategist, you will spearhead the development and execution of content strategies for our paid media team.
This role requires serious ideation, generating dozens of content ideas weekly aimed at direct response objectives for static and video ads.
In addition to ideation and scripting, you'll collaborate with our production team to create content and ensure high-quality deliverables.
You'll also leverage performance data from platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Google Ads Manager to continuously optimize and create high-performing video ads that resonate with target audiences.
This role is in-office in San Diego

New content and creative excite you. You watch the Super Bowl for the best ads, and when you get served a mediocre Instagram ad you think this is how I could have done this better .
You are data-driven.
Our content is primarily used for performance marketing, so there is a clear indicator if something works. You look for these signals and make decisions based on them.
You know direct response content.
Our bread and butter is conversion-focused content. We aren’t running brand campaigns. Everything that we produce is expected to drive profit for the company.
You know this world and have created ads before that have had over $100k in spend
behind them.

Responsibilities
Create advertising content angles, ideas, & campaign strategies for paid media.
Utilize tools such as Foreplay, Facebook Ads Library, and other social sites to find trends to take inspiration from.
Manage a team of copywriters, overseeing their progress, providing feedback and proofing to ensure timely delivery and compliance with FDA / FTC regulations.
Collaborate with the Art Director to produce storyboards and act as casting director, selecting talent for both in-house and remote production shoots.
Collaborate with Producer on-set to oversee in-house video ad production shoots and sign off on post-production content.
Analyze paid ad data inside of Meta, Google, TikTok, and Northbeam to make decisions on new content and variations.
