Overview
The Practice Leader of Geospatial Energy Services will lead and oversee all aspects of our survey and geospatial division focused on supporting the Oil & Gas, Electric, and Renewables industry.
This role requires a visionary leader who can develop and implement business strategies to capitalize on market opportunities, expand our client base, and drive strategic initiatives to maximize growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve revenue and profit targets for the Geospatial Energy Services division.
- Identify and leverage emerging trends and market opportunities within the energy sector.
- Lead the development, tracking, and management of opportunities to completion - from initial lead generation and prospecting, through pre-sales consulting, solution discussions, and pre-sales estimates, to budgetary preparation counseling, RFP pursuit, quote communication, proposal support, agreement processing, project hand-off, and initial coordination.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the energy industry.
- Direct the development and delivery of high-quality geospatial services that meet client needs.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize operational processes and service delivery.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of geospatial professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance visibility and reputation in the energy sector.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in supervisory / leadership role.
- Proven track record of leadership in a geospatial services role within the energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of energy services, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability.
- Strong business acumen with strategic planning and execution skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, inspiring teams to excel.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Strategic thinker with foresight to capitalize on market trends.
- Dedication to excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8am 5pm with overtime as needed.
