Job Summary

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for providing the Three Steps of Service to the Members and Guests which are Warm Welcomes, Magic Moments, and Fond Farewells with each and every interaction whether in-person or on the phone.

The primary responsibilities in this role are answering the phone, accurately making tee times, interacting with Members and / or their Guests, ringing in merchandise sales, straightening displayed apparel and other merchandise in the Golf Pro Shop, removing dust from fixtures, and more.

There is never a dull moment in this role during peak season.

Day-to-Day

Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop, accurately ringing up charges at the register and checking in golfers prior to play or from the annotated tee sheets from the starter.

There is also some occasional cash handling.

• Respond to inquiries and make tee times for Members and guests both in-person and over the phone. Focus attention on Members' and Guests' needs while remaining calm, professional and courteous at all times, even when under pressure.
• Responsible for inventory controls, merchandise check-in, organization of storage and display areas, and re-stocking of commonly used merchandise such as gloves or golf balls.
• Provide shop assistance to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and other department heads.

About You

• Customer service experience. Basic Golf Knowledge.
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while always maintaining composure and a hospitality mindset.
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
