PAY RANGE & BENEFITS

Starting salary : $102,765 - $120,900

POSITION SUMMARY : The Electronic Health Record (EHR) is the most critical business application for WellPower's mission and service delivery, requiring a standalone team to maintain.

The Electronic Health Record Manager position leads and coordinates integration, development, and maintenance efforts on the EHR, working on an enterprise applications team that is dedicated to helping achieve the company vision through EHR configuration, customization, and integrations.

This is a hybrid position, requiring at least one in-person day in Denver a month.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Oversee a comprehensive EHR solution, including electronic medical record, clinical workflows and documentation, ePrescribing, scheduling, billing and revenue cycle management, state reporting, and other practice management functions.
  • Develop and prioritize system development for the EHR as product owner and project manager; ensure that development supports the organization's strategic goals;
  • oversee system upgrades and routine maintenance; translate business plans into actionable items using human-centered design;

foster cross-functional relationships across the organization.

  • Collaborate with the following teams to achieve organizational vision :
  • Other enterprise applications teams, including :
  • The software engineering team for development of the EHR through custom code as well as integration with the WellPower App to allow people in services to better manage their treatment.
  • The software lifecycle team for integrations and ensuring quality assurance practices.
  • Business intelligence team to support organizational reporting needs.
  • Quality, Health Information Systems Management (HISM), and Compliance teams to support audits, annual Quality Payment Program attestations, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, laws and regulations.
  • Cybersecurity team to ensure systems have proper controls and safeguards for protected health information.
  • Accounts receivable and revenue cycle management teams to support revenue cycle management and billing configuration, including regular billing rule updates.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), Training and Helpdesk teams for creation of training materials and coordination of development releases.
  • Clinical teams for clinical practice support and development.
  • Actively participate in workgroups and cross-departmental projects as a subject matter expert to drive efficient organizational usage of the EHR.
  • Actively contribute to successful enterprise applications team project accountability using Agile / Scrum methodologies;

oversee completion of work assignments; communicate business goals and objectives to the team.

  • Ensure standard quality control and data validation practices; follow quality standards for documentation.
  • Provide EHR application support to WellPower users working as a helpdesk tier II or III support engineer. Perform problem analysis and resolution of day-to-day EHR system problems.

Work closely with EHR vendor engineering and support teams to resolve WellPower EHR issues.

  • Collaborate with supervisees to set career goals and pursue professional growth and development; provide open feedback and coaching to drive performance improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Enterprise Applications and Chief Information Officer.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • Three years of professional experience in a healthcare environment performing technical analysis, including collaborative work with other professionals (developers, product managers, quality assurance, etc.).
  • Two years of progressive supervisory / management experience required.
  • Understanding of professional billing, coding, managed care practices / principles, payer reimbursement methodologies, and managed care requirements / strategies strongly desired.
  • Experience with development of electronic health records or other HIPAA-compliant projects preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development environment preferred.
  • Experience in the behavioral health industry helpful.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Manages the day-to-day responsibilities of a team of analysts.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED : Computers and peripherals, telephone, and a variety of other office / clinical equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, printers, and other office and / or similar equipment.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS : Ability to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans.

Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.

WORKING CONDITIONS : Requires occasional evening and weekend hours. Primarily remote with the expectation of at least 1 pre-planned in-person day a month in Denver, CO.
