E-Mobility Hardware Engineer (Job Code : 1024)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for understanding, designing, and documenting E-Mobility hardware and systems according to approved corporate and supplier standards
- Conduct and lead in-depth discussions with customers regarding automotive E-Mobility hardware and systems
- Simulate, calculate, and analyze hardware modules and functions taking into consideration electrical tolerances and operating conditions, following the Worst-Case Analysis methodology
- Analyze and implement functional safety requirements in accordance with automotive E-Mobility products
- Participate in the creation and documentation of DFMEA for automotive products
- Design, build, and adopt project-specific requirements to test equipment, including EMC test environments
- Support and coordinate samples development for different optimizations and project stages
- Participate in the planning and execution of product validation and hardware verification activities, following automotive standards for E-Mobility products
- Utilize, control and manipulate specialized test equipment for E-Mobility products, including oscilloscopes, data loggers, differential / high-voltage probes, thermal chambers, chillers, high-voltage power supplies, and other high voltage test equipment;
provide results interpretation, root cause analysis and improvement recommendations for both legacy and new designs, depending on company needs
- Utilize electronic development tools including LT-Spice, PLECS, Mathcad, and Mentor Graphics to perform duties
- Provide hardware related technical support through all the operational steps of the project including sample builds, hardware development, DV / PV, quality issues, industrialization and series production
- Calculate and evaluate external patents
- Compare in house patents with external patents
- Utilize and apply knowledge of Cadence PSpice, Mathcad, IQRM-Pro, LT-Spice, Zuken CR-8000, MS Visio, FLIR Thermographic cameras / software, MS SharePoint, SAP, Engine Control Units, High-Side / Low-Side Drivers, Circuit Simulations, and Configuration Management procedures to complete assigned tasks
- and support cost quotation and analysis for electrification technology, including BMS, OBC, and DC-DC Converter systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
- Training : None;
Experience :
Three (3) years in the position above, as a Technical Project Leader, as a R&D Hardware Engineer Senior, as a R&D Hardware Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements : Experience must include three (3) years use of all the following : Cadence PSpice, Mathcad, IQRM-Pro, LT-Spice, Zuken CR-8000, MS Visio, FLIR Thermographic cameras / software, MS SharePoint, SAP, Engine Control Units, High-Side / Low-Side Drivers, Circuit Simulations, and Configuration Management procedures.
