Werelooking for a candidate to join our DataManagement team within IGM as a BusinessAnalyst to support the development and implementation of aLaboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

The BusinessAnalyst is primarily responsible for gathering functionalrequirements from end users (e.g. genomic scientists laboratorydirectors / managers and laboratory technicians) and translatingthose functional requirements into technical specifications for thedevelopmentteam.

The Business Analyst helps create the vision of how therequirements overlay onto the LIMS product for both outoftheboxfunctionality and custom development needs to produce a cohesivesolution that streamlines lab processes and ensures the ability tomanage track and database genomics data within theLIMS.

Responsibilities

Lead the requirements gathering from IGM laboratory personnelmanagers anddirectors.

Create high quality functional requirementsdocumentation including technical and user requirementspecifications and LIMS standard operatingprocedures.

Translate requirements and workflows to LIMS projectmanager and developmentteam.

Manage expectations around system functionality proposealternatives where needed and proactively manage requirementssessions towards completion against projecttimelines.

Maintain close communications with the LIMS project manager anddevelopment team to explore alternatives to maximize the use of outof the boxfunctionality.

Work closely with the LIMS vendor toensure seamlessintegration.

Participate in the integration of laboratory instrumentation withtheLIMS.

Participate in the integration of external enterprise systems withtheLIMS.

Assist with analyzing and document AsIs business processes andpropose optimized ToBe businessprocesses.

Create and deliver training and materials to end users for the LIMSimplementation.

Implement and maintain the effectiveness of theLIMS.

Qualifications

• The knowledge normallyassociated with a Bachelors degree in a scientific field isrequired.
• 25years of applicable experience isnecessary.
• Experience with LIMSimplementations and / or laboratory informatics softwareimplementation and / or enterprise softwareimplementation.
• Familiarity with regulatoryrequirements (CAP / CLIA / BAP FDA CFR 21 Part 11 etc.) isdesired.
• Solid understandingof laboratory processes andmethods.
• Experience with electronic labnotebooks statistical analysis software and laboratoryinstrumentation is desirable.
• Highly organized creative andmotivated selfstarter excellent written communications andpresentation skills.
• Strong understanding ofInformation Technology and enterprise information managementsolutions.
• Ability to jugglemultiple tasks establish and manage competing priorities and workindependently.
