Parts room Receiving Clerk Full Time, 1st Shift

SUMMARY : Position Summary :

Position Summary :

The Parts Room Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving material and services ordered through the MRO system.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN :

Documents the PO’s for receipt and files the PO in the pending or closed files. Records any shortages, labeling and ID parts, handling any discrepancies as needed.

Works closely with the Re-Buyer and A / P to resolve conflicts with receipts or invoices.

Assists Re-buyer with faxing, filing, and calling suppliers to follow up on timely receipts.

Works closely with Maintenance and Warehouse to package and ship items for repair.

Works closely with the Maintenance personnel to ensure that the stockroom stays organized and clean.

Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.

Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.

Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS :

High school GED or equivalent is preferred

Required to have 1-3 years of experience in a related field.

Complete training to be certified on a wave picker and / or sit-down forklift.

Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures manuals.

Have sound technical skills, logical ability, and strong problem analysis and resolutions skills.

Have the ability to prioritize tasks.

Have good interpersonal, as well as strong written and oral communications skills.

Have the ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the plant and corporate environments.

Have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

Are proficient in Microsoft applications.

Have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
