Courier, CSST Apprentice - Environmental Field Technician

Patriot Environmental Laboratory Services, Inc., is a full-service environmental consulting firm and laboratory specializing in Asbestos, Lead-based Paint and Mold testing.

We provide testing services for a wide array of clientele including property management companies, insurance companies, contractors, schools, government, and military installations.

We are looking for an entry level Environmental Field Technician -CSST Apprentice / Courier to serve our OC and LA Branch offices.

This is a full time position with general hours ranging from 6am to 8pm, 5-days a week, Monday through Saturday, dependent upon daily needs.

Couriers, CSST Apprentices are provided a company vehicle, gas, cell-phone, and GPS system

Salary : $20 - $21 per hour, depending on experience.

Prior experience or training in Asbestos consulting or the abatement industry is strongly preferred.

Courier tasks include :

Ÿ Transporting packages and equipment to and from individuals and locations throughout Southern California

Ÿ Coordinating pickup of samples collected from Field Technicians and deliver to OC and LA laboratories

Ÿ Conduct and complete documentation of vehicle inspections

Ÿ Complete work tasks while following all safety protocols

CSST Apprentice Environmental Field Technician tasks include training in the following :

Ÿ Asbestos Surveys and Abatement Monitoring under the direction of a CAC

Ÿ Accurate, detailed completion of Chain of Custody forms according to established procedures

This position REQUIRES :

Ÿ Valid California Driver License with good driving record

Ÿ AHERA Asbestos Contractor / Supervisor Certification

Ÿ AHERA Building Inspector Certification

Ÿ Willingness to travel outside of Orange County, within southern California

Ÿ Ability to follow direction and protocol

Ÿ Careful attention to detail and accuracy

Ÿ Effective time management skills

Ÿ Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Ÿ Friendly demeanor with excellent communication

Ÿ Available to work Saturday shift

Ÿ Working capacity in basic computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

Other certification such as CDHP Lead Sampling Technician, NIOSH 582 and Mold Sampling training are also desirable.
