Octavia will offer guests an elevated experience, with a 27-seat bar and 136-seat lounge area as well as live music, 19 table games and 60 slot options.

The focal point of the 13,500-square-foot room is a $750,000 chandelier that boosts dynamic aesthetics for those guests enjoying artisanal cocktails and fanciful spirits.

JOB SUMMARY : The Lounge Host Hostess for the brand-new center bar at Caesars New Orleans Casino provides a welcoming, friendly and extraordinary service to every guest who approaches the bar.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Conducts assigned duties according to procedures.
• Greets guests quickly and courteously.
• Seat guests promptly and with a smile
• Able to sell guest on all seating areas of the restaurant (. bar and patio)
• Be aware of table status and control seating times
• Helps service guests as necessary in a team aspect (May include but not limited to : bussing tables, taking drink orders, rolling silverware,
• Knows how to ring up all transactions and all tenders.
• Assists the Service Attendants / Counter Attendants / Culinary areas when needed.
• Handles and solves any concerns and questions from customers.
• Keeps all guest areas clean and neat. Complies with all appearance standards.
• Enters guests’ merchandise in register, takes money from customer and accurately gives back change.
• Responsible for accurate control of cash drawer.
• Operates cash register and properly settles merchandise purchase
• Itemizes totals and presents guests with the price for payment
• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must be at least 21 years or older to work in the casino
• High volume fine dining or lounge experience preferred.
• Reservation system knowledge recommended
• Understands variance policy of cash drawer and maintains low variance
• 1-year experience in customer service at a high volume and / or fine dining operation.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to count cash drawer accurately
• Must possess excellent customer service / communication skills.
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance / dress standards.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS :

• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of assigned restaurant throughout entire shift.
• Must be able to accurately and quickly process all cash transactions.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
