HEAD GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH - MIDDLE SCHOOL

Job Description

Trinity Academy Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Head Coach for our Girls Basketball program.

The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong understanding of the game of basketball but will also be committed to developing young athletes into well-rounded individuals both on and off the court.

This position requires a leader who can instill a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth, in alignment with the values and mission of Trinity Academy.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program that focuses on skill development, strategic gameplay, and teamwork.
• Lead all aspects of the Girls Basketball program, including but not limited to : practices, games, tournaments, and off-season training.

In addition, work with the junior high coaches and athletes to implement development tactics and strategy.

• Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, fostering their spiritual, personal and athletic growth.
• Establish and maintain open communication with players, parents, school administration, and other stakeholders.
• Uphold and enforce team rules, policies, and codes of conduct, promoting discipline and accountability among players.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure academic success and support for student-athletes.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture that values the mission of Trinity Academy as well as respect, integrity, and sportsmanship.
• Attend all required meetings, trainings, and events as directed by the Dean of Athletics.
• Represent Trinity Academy with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Requirements

• Commitment to Jesus Christ demonstrated in professional and personal life.
• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and coaching techniques.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes.
• Commitment to fostering a positive team culture and prioritizing the well-being of players.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with players, parents, and staff.
• Willingness to adhere to the mission and values of Trinity Academy High School, including the integration of Luke 2 : 52 principles into coaching philosophy.
• Valid coaching certifications and / or willingness to obtain required certifications.
