Project Engineer - Roadway / Earthwork Greensboro, NCTech USA is recruiting experienced Project or Field Engineers, for a few of the most reputable highway and sitework contractors in North Carolina.

Projects are ongoing highway and commercial / industrial site development jobs throughout Winston-Salem / G-boro / RDU. Long-term opportunities at leading infrastructure contractors in the Carolinas.

These are all permanent job opportunities, not temporary / contract jobs. Pay Range : $75-90K salary, plus company truck & benefits (pay is highly dependent on experience) Responsibilities

• Document control (RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, etc.)
• Assisting and supporting project team with daily project coordination
• Procurement of construction materials
• Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Survey and project layout
• Weekly pictures for progress reports
• Manage construction equipment
• Safety management
• Project estimating

Requirements : Qualifications

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as a field / project engineer working on highway, grading or utility construction projects for NCDOT over $15M in value
• Strong communication and organizational skills to support construction operations in a large-scale, fast paced environment;

self-perform disciplines include structures, bridges, underground utilities, earthwork, & paving

• A candidate with experience beyond grading on NCDOT projects will be able to excel more quickly - but candidates with only grading & earthwork experience are encouraged to apply
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Previous internship, co-op, or employment experience is a plus
