Job Title : Warehouse Supervisor
Location : Indianapolis, IN 46241
Shift : Monday - Friday, 6 : 30 AM - 3 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $27 / h on W2.
Job Type : Temp-to-Hire
Education level : High School diploma or GED required.
Primary Purpose :
To supervise assigned recall / returns warehouse operations colleagues, focusing on increasing accuracy and production levels.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Staff Management :
- Select, train, and develop an effective and efficient staff.
- Promote diversity by supporting the Company’s Affirmative Action Program.
- Establish and communicate performance standards and objectives.
- Conduct performance appraisals and recommend salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
Operations Monitoring :
- Recommend changes in methods, procedures, structure, and personnel to optimize resource utilization.
- Counsel employees on career development opportunities and keep them informed about departmental and company developments through periodic meetings.
Policy Administration :
- Administer company policies and ensure compliance.
- Monitor employee safety and productivity, making recommendations for improvements to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Report on productivity trends and recommend changes to improve work productivity continuously.
Warehouse Operations :
- Supervise recall / returns warehouse operations, ensuring efficient flow of product processing.
- Provide new processor orientation and training.
- Offer one-on-one training and counseling to underperforming processors.
- Assist in developing and implementing training improvement plans.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities :
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support the organization's quality program(s).
- Travel as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote maximum performance for two or more colleagues.
- Administer company personnel policies and follow staffing standards and training recommendations.
- Interview, hire, and establish colleague performance development plans.
- Conduct colleague performance discussions.
Education & Licensing :
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
Experience :
Six (6) years of related experience, including one (1) year supervisory / lead experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
