Job Description

Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business is experiencing growth at our campus in Grand Prairie, TX. We are seeking a computational designer with CG, 3D design and mechanical analysis to join our inter-disciplinary team.

What You Will Be Doing

You will work closely with our group technical staff to develop computational design processes, pipelines and tools to explore mediation across Lockheed Martin systems.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting research to enable and support projects through computational design technologies, develop 3D renderings and illustrations to inform R&D concepts to customers or leaders, implement novel computational design processes that generate differentiating concepts for future missile programs, collaborate with multidisciplinary team of engineers and artists, and communicate progress clearly.

Desired skills

  • Knowledge in the latest trends in design and technology specifically additive manufacturing technologies, 3D printing, CNC Milling or other computer to machine methods.
  • Research experience in computational geometry, computational fabrication, computational intelligence, computational dynamics or related fields
  • Skilled in proactively handling and executing several high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Highly Collaborative and open to constructive feedback
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Fluency and confidence in inspiring teammates and clients with data-driven rationale.
  • Passion for tinkering, learning, and trying out new technologies and hardware.
  • Appetite for experimentation. We are looking for people who are open to experimentation and who dare to take risks.
  • Knowledge in 3D Animation, rendering, or scripting and understands artistic fundamentals of composition
