Position Overview :
Once a project is sold, the field superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the job site. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Superintendent serves as a liaison between the crew and the customer, ensuring that the project is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
This role includes managing job site logistics, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety protocols, and addressing any issues that arise during the project.
Key Responsibilities :
- Job Site Management :
- Serve as the point of contact for the customer once the job is sold, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Coordinate with the crew to ensure the job is organized and progressing according to schedule.
- Safety Oversight :
- Ensure that all crew members follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Conduct safety inspections and address any potential hazards on the job site.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and company safety regulations.
- Quality Control :
- Monitor the job site to ensure that work is being performed to the highest standards.
- Conduct quality checks at key milestones throughout the project to ensure that specifications and customer expectations are met.
- Crew and Customer Liaison :
- Act as the liaison between the customer and the crew, facilitating communication and ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly.
- Provide updates to the customer on project progress, addressing any concerns they may have.
- Logistics and Organization :
- Ensure that all materials are available on-site when needed and that work is scheduled efficiently.
- Organize the crew to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Issue Resolution :
- Address any on-site issues that may arise, including delays, equipment problems, or customer concerns.
- Report issues to the Production Manager and assist in developing solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting :
- Keep accurate records of job progress, including daily logs, safety reports, and any incidents.
- Provide regular reports to the Production Manager on project status, including any potential issues.
- Close out documentation and collect final check where applicable.
