POSITION SUMMARY :
The Inventory Clerk ensures internal customer needs are met daily by monitoring and maintaining inventory levels by performing cycle counts, purchasing, and receiving assigned materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Purchase and receiving of inventory- stocked or other- as well as purchasing / contracting of services
- Receive and deliver inventory to appropriate location, personnel, or department
- Perform inspections on incoming materials as required
- Replenish stock areas throughout the shop
- Perform cycle counts accordingly
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements, including required PPE.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform stock room duties as necessary
- Exceptional attendance
- Responsible for area housekeeping
- Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions such as : dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures.
All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel;
reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
on a regular basis is required. Must be able to stand and walk 95% of the time and sit 5% of the time.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of purchasing and inventory experience or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong commitment to follow-through
- Basic math skills and problem-solving skills are required
- Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift strongly preferred; previous experience a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required.
