The Associate Payroll Systems Analyst is participating in the maintenance / support of payroll systems activities associated with all aspects of payroll and time and attendance processing and systems at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH).
Will work closely with the Payroll Support team, and / or internal operations staff to design new or modify existing payroll information systems to meet changing requirements.
This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Junior Payroll Systems Analyst at Hackensack Meridian Health includes :
- Understanding of Payroll Concepts and how to track time.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with a team throughout the system development life cycle process.
- Maintains confidentiality of all payroll data by not sharing team members' personal Information unless approved by the Director of Payroll systems or the Payroll VP Operations and keeping all employee information and files restricted to the Payroll staff and approved leaders.
- Perform ad-hoc projects and other department tasks as assigned.
- Other duties and / or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and / or GED equivalent programs.
- Must have a general, effective understanding of payroll processing and related system activities.
- Two or more years of experience with all aspects of Payroll configuration / processing with an ERP system.
- Understand systems documentation, design, change management, testing, production support, and auditing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a demanding environment using good organization and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and / or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience.
- Prior Oracle, PSOFT, and Workday ERP system experience.
- Knowledgeable in SQL concepts.
- Prior experience with documentation, design, testing, production support, and auditing.
