Incumbents in this role will provide radiology services to our providers functioning under their license provided by the Arizona Board of Radiology and within their experience and training.
They are responsible for performing tasks and procedures that are : within the scope of their educational preparation and knowledge and permitted by the policies and procedures of the Pain Institute if Southern Arizona.
Responsibilities :
- Monitors compliance with all radiology safeguards using the C-arm and in the Fluoro room
- Ensure that all individuals are appropriately shield when assisting in the Fluoro Room
- Monitor and records the patient’s radiation dose and time under Fluoro
- Provides clear images to the provider, is able to competently enhance images as requested by the provider.
- Prepares the patient for the procedure, using universal precautions.
- Assist in procedure time out.
- Monitors dosimeters.
- Providing for and respecting the patient’s privacy and confidentiality.
- Documenting in the EHR all pertinent information appropriately.
- Demonstrating courteous, cooperative, and respectful behavior.
- With the education and / or documented skills, may perform procedures, in response to emergency situations.
- Safeguarding and inventorying equipment and supplies.
- Assist in ordering supplies and medications as directed.
- Following Universal Precautions and Infection Control Procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Current License (ART)
- Current BLS card
- COVID Vaccination Card
- Has knowledge of Electronic Health Care Records (Greenway preferred) and meaningful use.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
