Duties :
- Represent clients in immigration court and during administrative proceedings
- Prepare and file various immigration petitions and applications
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and pleadings
- Provide legal advice and counseling to clients on immigration matters
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and answer questions
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on case strategies and office initiatives
- Stay current with changes in immigration law and policy
- Attend and participate in community outreach and educational events
Requirements :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing immigration law
- Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken
- Active member in good standing of the state bar
- Strong understanding of U.S. immigration laws and procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications :
Licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina
