Inventory Control Specialist

Location : Troy, MI

Shift : Full-Time (8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm)

Compensation : $17 / hour

Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary :

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the seamless operation of our supply chain.

This role involves tracking inventory, conducting regular audits, implementing efficient inventory management procedures, and collaborating with various departments to optimize inventory flow and reduce discrepancies.

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize overstocks.
  • Conduct regular and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed inventory reports to management.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and sales departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all inventory transactions and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections on received and outgoing inventory items.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Communicate inventory status, updates, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control or management.
  • Ability to life and move objects up to 50lbs. as needed
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
