Job Description : The main function of a Firmware Software Engineer is to apply principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems.
This includes operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications such as medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing.
Job Responsibilities :
- Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems.
- Guide staff in writing and coding database descriptions and specifications.
- Direct database development and approve project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests to estimate time and cost.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect computer files.
- Approve, schedule, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and system improvements.
- Develop standards and guidelines for software use and acquisition to protect information.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.

- Proficiency in computer development software such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc.
Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field required.
