Position Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Project Management to oversee and manage complex, interrelated, large, global projects across multiple teams.
This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with our strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects.
Core Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance and support in project execution.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to enhance project delivery.
- Project Oversight :
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple complex projects across various teams.
- Ensure projects align with organizational goals and deliver value to stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and resource allocation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Performance Measurement :
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and team performance.
- Prepare and present project status reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and implementing lessons learned.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in project management.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification preferred
Other : The ability to travel is a requirement of this position and could be as much as 20% of the time. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds.
