The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for all quality inspections of incoming and outgoing products. Utilize keen attention to detail ensuring products meet the quality standards and specifications set forth by the company.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the inspection of all incoming shipments by confirming product specifications and conducting visual and quality measurements.
Approve or reject shipments based on test results.
- Accountable for documentation of incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality inspections
- Responsible for approval of finished custom BCD's and drysuits, masks, fins and other diving components by confirming product specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
Return products that do not pass inspection for re-work and confirm re-work
- Responsible for documentation inspection results
- Responsible for the management of failed products in quarantine
- Collaborate and assist with the recall and re-work projects. Inspect all re-work items to confirm specifications and approve eligibility for resell.
- Collaborate with the written work instructions and processes and procedures as needed.
- Travel 0% of the time
- Physical Activities include standing for long periods of time. Able to walk and maneuver a warehouse environment. Able to lift up to 50lbs and team lift up to 100 lbs.
Periods of working on a computer that may emulate blue light. Able to use hands and fingers to handle small objects. May reach and stretch with hands and arms.
May need the use of balance and able to stoop, kneel, be in confined spaces, talk and hear.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-year+ related experience working in Quality Control
- Able to read and communicate in English
- Able to read and understand engineering documents and standard measurements and tolerances
- Able to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, etc.
- Diving experience and knowledge helpful but not required
