Responsibilities : RN Weekend Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to :
- Responsible for the day to day coordination and oversight of all aspects of the nursing department during his / her shift
- Ensure that all departmental procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
- Make rounds on each unit to monitor staff and resident activities
- Monitor resident care and report changes to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing
- Assess newly admitted or readmitted residents and document in the 24 hour report. Follow up on residents as needed
- Participate in counselling, evaluating, and disciplining nursing staff
- Monitor nursing staff to ensure proper documentation on MARs, nurses notes, accident / incident reports, physician's orders and treatment records
- Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships with residents, families and personnel
Requirements :
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school
- Active and current RN license
- Minimum of two years clinical experience in an acute or long term care setting
- Demonstrate competence in management and leadership skills
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
