Job Description
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk area in a hotel or other hospitality establishment.
They are responsible for ensuring that guests receive a warm welcome and that their needs are met throughout their stay.
The Front Desk Manager is also responsible for managing the front desk staff, ensuring that they are properly trained and that they provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the front desk staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure that guests receive a warm welcome and that their needs are met throughout their stay
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that the front desk area is clean and organized at all times
- Manage room reservations and ensure that all guest information is accurate and up-to-date
- Ensure that all front desk staff are properly trained in hotel policies and procedures
- Monitor and maintain the hotel's inventory of supplies and equipment
- Assist with other duties as needed, including managing the hotel's social media accounts and responding to guest reviews
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a hospitality or customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
