We are seeking driven,results-oriented, independent-thinking individuals who enjoys multi-tasking ina fast-paced, challenging, government-facing sales environment.

In this position you will be responsible foridentifying, shaping, and capturing "disruptive" new businessopportunities between the US Government and Siemens EDA's leading edgeElectronic Design Automation solutions for developing critical defensemicroelectronic systems.

TheEDA Business Development and Capture Director works in a business developmentrole, coordinating between the various US Government entities and theireco-system;

including OSD A&S, OSD R&E, Air Force, Navy, ARMY, DARPA, NSA,prime contractors, and academia, to bring new EDA solutions to US Government market.

An in-depth knowledge and understanding of key players, government programoperation and funding is paramount. In this position you will work closely withSiemens Sales Executives and Sr.

Manager(s) to develop multi-level businessplans for the growth and development of our US Government business. Thecandidate must possess strong sales, communication, and program managementskills. Travel will be required.

Additionalresponsibilities include :

  • Lead and facilitate development ofwinning strategies, which align Siemens' solutions with the policy and businessrequirements of the US Government
  • Collaborate with Siemens IndustrySoftware (SISW) executive leadership to adapt and refine solution definitionswhile ensuring Customer value.
  • Leverage established US Governmentand industry contacts & relationships to adjust and refine solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate win strategydevelopment sessions including appropriate stakeholders to determine, teaming,staffing, pricing, etc.
  • Collaborate with Divisional Leadership andTechnical SMEs to develop solutions that offer customers recognized value, areprice competitive, is executable and will be evaluated favorably

TheEDA Business Development and Capture Director will need to identify, develop, and leverage strongcustomer and industry relationships with key decision makers and understand thebusiness challenges and technical needs and issues across a broad range ofplatforms, technologies, and government requirements.

Preferredlocation : Washington, DC Metro Area; Other locations : TBD.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Federal, DoD business development, capture, and / or operational experience with a proven track record of success in developing a robust pipeline and generating new business opportunities.
  • Established contacts with major customers in the Intelligence and DoD Community, e.g., OSD A&S, OSD R&E, Air Force, Navy, NRO, NRL, DARPA, and Army.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with senior executives at government agencies, major prime contractors, and commercial companies.
  • Knowledge of the Pentagon and DoD budgeting process
  • Must have a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, policies, and contract vehicles.
  • Experience working with DoD prime system contractors / integrators.
  • MSEE / BSEE with 5+ years electronic design desired
  • Understanding of Electronic Systems design and verification flows through semiconductor design and fabrication a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic analysis experience
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Track record of deliver on complex problems without guidance.
  • US citizen with existing Secret security clearance.

The total cash compensation range for this position is$185,700 to $371,400 with 30% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target.

The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's worklocation as well as additional factors, including job-related skills,experience, and relevant education / training.
