About The Position
Job Title : Clinical Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 AM - 7 : 30 PM, Flexible Scheduling, 3x11.
50-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : 34.50 per week Experience : Minimum 2 years as an RN with 2 years of Post Open Heart and Cardiac Care Unit experience.
Travel experience is preferred but not required. License : NYS RN License Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : Epic experience highly preferred- Excellent organizational skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred;
Associate Degree in Nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN Program Job Description : Deliver safe, competent, quality patient care based on nursing theory and research.
- Incorporate the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care using the nursing process.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.- Prioritize aspects of patient care, including teaching, planning after hospital care, and delegation.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.- Implement patient experience initiatives, such as Bedside Shift Report and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.
- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement.- Participate in quality improvement projects and nursing research studies.
- Perform charge nurse duties and facilitate patient throughput during shifts.- Contribute to the professional environment to support colleagues, patients, and the healthcare team.
- Advance clinical competence and encourage lifelong learning and innovation.This role requires a dedicated and empathetic nursing professional who is committed to enhancing patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
