Salary : $20 / hour
POSITION OVERVIEW :
A Warehouse Associate at Horwitz provides an integral part of serving our clients with excellent customer service while incorporating our core values of Safe, Accountable, Professional, Motivated, Can Do, and Curious.
This position is responsible for receiving a large volume and variety of tools and equipment. The warehouse associate collaborates with project managers, service technicians and the warehouse team to efficiently handle materials.
RESPONSIBLITIES / DUTIES :
- Maintain a safe and clean work area in multiple receiving locations.
- Daily forklift inspection and maintenance.
- Receiving all deliveries to Horwitz
- Includes : identify, tag, stage and stock all inventory.
- Maintain a daily receiving log.
- Provide a copy of the packing list to the shipping department.
- Receive tools and materials from all branches of Horwitz, Inc. jobsites including :
- Help drivers unload all tool returns to Horwitz and stage for return processing.
- Assign tools into inventory using the All Track tool tracking system.
- Inspect all tools before putting into inventory.
- Clean all tools before putting into inventory.
- Test all tools before putting into inventory.
- Stage all tools needing repair and report needed repairs to warehouse manager.
- All tools in Horwitz inventory will be completely ready for shipping to send to the field.
- Determine if consumable returns are reusable for restock or discard as necessary.
- Return all new consumables to inventory and provide a list to the warehouse manager for a return credit to jobsite and inventory adjustment.
- Building and grounds maintenance including :
- Shoveling snow from walks and entrances, spreading salt and sand as necessary.
- Replace lamps throughout the building as necessary.
- Furniture assembly and small repairs.
- Assist with trash removal from work areas to the dumpster.
- Be part of a fun and productive warehouse team.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to independently organize, plan and prioritize work
Excellent verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
Intermediate computer skills
Strong attention to detail
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
High School diploma or equivalent required
2 years minimum experience
Mechanical construction warehouse experience helpful, but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
Prolonged periods of standing
Frequent use of keyboard and computer mouse
Work both indoors and outdoors during all seasons
