Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales will be a key member of the Soothe executive team and an integral contributor to the continued growth and expansion of the business.
The VP of Sales is responsible for driving profitable growth by developing, implementing, leading, and scaling all commercial sales activities across Soothe’s Hospitality, Corporate Wellness, and Events channels.
The scope ranges from high-level involvement including Board interaction to hands-on sales activities with key strategic accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the growth of Soothe’s commercial revenue channels, including direct sales to hotels / spas and corporate HR functions seeking employee wellness benefits
- Expand existing accounts and strategic channel partnerships.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for revenue and contribution margin from commercial clients, as well as manage overall department budget goals.
- Supervise and grow a world-class sales team to meet monthly goals : activity, pipeline, forecasted opportunities, and revenue targets.
- Identify and scope new market opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate options in our sales technology stack to help generate additional efficiency
- Lead the sales forecasting process in conjunction with Finance for overall P&L planning, and report on channel performance to the rest of the company and board, as required.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- 7+ years business-to-business sales experience, ideally leading a team selling into hotels and spas
- Experience selling to C-suite leadership
- Proven track record in a senior sales management role building and managing a high- performance sales team that has verifiably and consistently exceeded target KPIs
- Experience establishing sales functions, processes, and reporting (Rev Ops functions) for sales productivity
- Ability to personally develop strategic partnerships while managing a team / team quota
- Demonstrated people leadership skills : the ability to motivate, mentor, coach and develop salespeople into top performers
- Exceptional listening and communication skills
