Position Overview :

The Social Media Strategist will help drive continuous improvement and innovation in the social media marketing efforts supporting client brand amplification objectives.

The Social Media Strategist works with the Social Media Manager and Coordinator and others within the Agency to ensure daily program requirements are being executed and that overall program goals are being met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis (on schedule and on goal).

The Social Media Strategist also proactively ensures issues, successes and key insights are being escalated and reported in a timely manner throughout a client campaign or program.

Responsibilities :

The Social Media Strategist is also responsible for leading and implementing outreach campaigns that strictly adhere to ethics and best practices.

The Social Media Strategist will work with the team to identify relevant and targeted influencers as well as the overall outreach strategy, and he or she will be responsible for outreach, coordination and reporting as it relates to overall client objectives.

Please note that our Content team is in a growth stage. Any responsibilities and activities not listed below, but which the candidate views as necessary to elevate the impact and reputation of the client, the social media team, and the candidate, should be pursued in agreement with candidate’s manager and added to the formal job responsibility at regular performance review intervals :

Oversee social media strategy planning and activation for clients

Partner with Content team and Social Media Manager, ensuring different accounts are being planned for with the same rigor, principles and sophistication

Interface with other Media activation teams and divisions to ensure that plan components across TV, OOH, Print, Audio, digital, etc.

are positively impacted by an applied social sensibility

Help establish leading relationships with key social platforms and technologies to drive adoption of products, practices and opportunities that support client objectives

Responsible for reporting on all client channels, delivered to all partners (brand / client, creative, and internal), tracking the progress of approvals, final reports, and related per each assigned community management team

Delivering analysis and insight to inform strategy and activation per each community management team

Ideating and implementing original engagement tactics, in accordance with the account, content and creative teams, for all accounts

Keeping a finger on the pulse of new and emerging social media platforms and first-to-market opportunities

Qualifications :

  • 4-6 years of experience being a Social Media Strategist, Social Content Strategist, or Community Manager with a Digital Agency or a Digital Strategy Role
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, or public relations
  • Outstanding communication and grammar skills; detail-oriented, both online and offline
  • Conversant with technology brands and solutions
  • Attuned to the cultural zeitgeist and recognize opportunities to engage with key audiences and increase followers and reach
