We are hiring an OBL (outpatient Base Lab) vascular procedure Registered Nurse, Part Time, for an exciting opportunity to join our growing team!
The ideal candidate must be flexible as this is a part-time position. Most weeks will be 3 days a week (Tuesday / Wednesday / Friday).
Hours can, & usually start around 6 : 00AM and can go as late as 4pm, 20 - 30 hours total a week on average. This is a very fast paced position working with a small team, so the candidate needs to be able to work well in a team environment and be very organized.
The ideal candidate will have a current GA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and if possible, floroscopy CR certification.
Previous vascular / cardiac experience is preferred. We are willing to train regarding laboratory duties.

Basic Functions :
Coordinates and provides patient care in the vascular lab throughout the entire procedure process.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Preparing procedure table using sterile technique
- Responsible for bringing patient back for procedure
- Collect patients’ medical history, illnesses, and pertinent information
- Prepping patients for procedure including manual vitals / blood pressure, taking peripheral pulse, starting IV’s, and administering IV / PO medications
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.
- Operating and monitoring medical equipment
- Assist with all procedures / cases within the lab
- Pulling sheaths post vascular procedures
- Act as circulator during venous cases
- Operating doppler ultrasound to estimate and record blood flow
- Clean and dress wounds
- Management of arterial access sites post procedure
- Recovering patient post-procedure and communicate with patient and / or family to provide release instructions
- Performing quality control of equipment and supplies
- Setting up and dismantling of any equipment used while using proper cleaning techniques
- Review and document in detail patient cases in EMR
- Assist with maintaining accreditation via chart audits, routine autoclave maintenance, vascular lab logs, etc.
- Willing to become certified to use all equipment in the vascular lab
- Review inventory of clinical supplies to ensure stock is sufficient and notify manager of needs
- Attend mandatory staff meetings as scheduled
- Complies with all OSHA and HIPAA policies and procedures established by the practice
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent / emergent situations per protocols
